Are you ICO Registered and Membership Up-To-Date?

Just a little reminder that Landlords as well as Agents are required to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If you are processing personal data for the purpose of producing tenancy agreements/contracts, performing credit checks via a credit reference agency on prospective tenants and obtaining references this would require you to pay a data protection fee and be registered:  Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You also need to notify tenants that you are holding information and why and how you deal with their data, there are some useful notices available that cover this.

It’s worth checking your membership is up to date and you tick this box as there are stiff fines for non-compliance.
